The National Union of the Blind of the Republic of Macedonia and International Braille Chess\u00a0Association (I.B.C.A.) invite all member countries.<\/p>\n

Location: Metropol Lake Resort, Settlment Konjsko B.B. 600 Ohrid Former Yugoslav\u00a0Republic of Macedonia (FYROM)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dates: arrival June 18th 2017 – departure June 29th, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Date and venue<\/strong><\/p>\n

The chess Olympiad will be held in\u00a0Ohrid, Metropol Lake Resort<\/strong>\u00a0– FYROM from\u00a0June 18th, 2017<\/strong>\u00a0(arrival) until\u00a0June 29th, 2017<\/strong>\u00a0(departure). The tournament hall is the conference center of\u00a0the 4-star hotel \u201cMetropol \u201d in Ohrid, FYROM.<\/p>\n

4. Payments Board and lodging, IBCA fee<\/strong>
\nThe participants will stay in the hotels of the\u00a0\u201cMetropol Lake Resort\u201d in Ohrid, Settlment Konjsko B.B.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prices per person, per night, full board included:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hotel Metropol and Hotel Bellevue:<\/strong>
\nin triple room: 44 Euros<\/strong>
\nin double room: 49 Euros<\/strong>
\nin single room: 59 Euros<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hotel Tourist:<\/strong>
\nin triple room: 41 Euros<\/strong>
\nin double room: 46 Euros<\/strong><\/p>\n

All participants, including coaches and accompanying persons of the delegations, must stay in the official hotel \u201cMetropol Lake Resort\u201d for organisational and security reasons. The Organising Committee will not accept any person to be a participant if she\/he doesn\u2019t stay in the official hotel \u201cMetropol Lake Resort\u201d.<\/p>\n

All delegations must deposit 30 % of the total cost<\/strong>\u00a0for hotel accommodation\u00a0before<\/strong>\u00a0March1st, 2017 to the following bank account:

The I.B.C.A. member countries must pay the annual fee of 150 Euros before the start of the first round to the treasurer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

5. Transportation from and to airport, railway station, excursion<\/strong>
\nOrganizers will provide transportation from and to Skopje or Ohrid Airport or railway station and an excursion without any cost for all participants.<\/p>\n

All delegations must send the flight details (date, time and flight number for arrival\/departure) to the organizing committee\u00a0before 01 May 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6. Travel expenses and arrivals<\/strong>
\nAccording to FIDE regulations the participating federations must cover the travel expenses of all players, coaches and accompanying persons. Any member country that needs a special invitation to obtain visa to get into Macedonia, please communicate to Macedonia.<\/p>\n

7. Schedule<\/strong>
\nJune18th, 2017 \u2013 June 29th, 2017
\nA detailed programme and the agenda for the IBCA congress will follow in January 2017.<\/p>\n

8. Chess equippment<\/strong>
\nEach team (4 players up to one reserve) must bring 4 Braille chess sets, 2 Braille clocks and writing (redording) equipment.<\/p>\n

9. Playing system and rate of play<\/strong>
\nThe chess Olympiad will be played in 9 rounds Swiss System.\u00a0The playing time will be 120 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 60 minutes for each player for the rest of the game, max. 6 hours.<\/p>\n

Detailed rules will be send out with the programme.<\/p>\n

10. Prizes<\/strong>
\nTeams placed first, second and third will be awarded respectively with gold, silver and bronze medals. In case of a tie the final ranking will be decided in accordance with the FIDE rules..
\nThe prizes will be awarded at the official closing ceremony. The players receive the prizes personally.<\/p>\n
